Fun Palaces is a national campaign for community art, sciences and culture, this year falling around the weekend of the 1st and 2nd of October!
It believes in the power of radical Fun and celebrates grassroots events by and for the community, bringing them together under one banner for the Fun Palaces Weekend.

Whilst last year there were over 133 Fun Palaces in the UK, only 3 were in Scotland & to spread the word of Fun Palaces here particularly, a group of volunteers from a wide range of backgrounds formed Fun Palaces Scotland last year, including representation from Edinburgh Beltane, Edinburgh Craft Reactor, the Science Ceilidh, Voluntary Arts Scotland, the University of Edinburgh, Textile Co-Op Kalopsia and many more.
We had planned several Fun Palaces events over the weekend across Edinburgh, with several more Fun Palaces beyond (in Wigtown and Wester Hailes) and would love to encourage more Fun Palaces beyond the Central Belt and across the rest of Scotland
